Email Not Working
Cannot Send Emails
- Verify your SMTP settings match the ones in Email Setup
- Check that your outgoing port is 465 (SSL) - some ISPs block port 25
- Ensure your email password is correct (reset it from the dashboard if unsure)
Cannot Receive Emails
- Verify your MX record points to
mail.yourdomain.com - Check that your mailbox is not full (upgrade or delete old emails)
- Look in your Spam/Junk folder - the message may have been filtered
Emails Going to Spam
If your sent emails land in recipients' spam folders:
- Set up SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records (see Email Setup)
- Avoid spam trigger words in subject lines
- Don't send bulk emails from your hosting email - use a dedicated email marketing service
Client Configuration Errors
Double-check these settings:
- Incoming (IMAP):
mail.yourdomain.com, Port 993, SSL - Outgoing (SMTP):
mail.yourdomain.com, Port 465, SSL - Username: Your full email address
- Authentication: Normal password
